Yoga teacher for “YogAfrika”
Sport and exercise have always played an important role in my life. Until I was 15 I was a top gymnast artistic gymnastics. Afterwards I gave turn lessons for many years.
In 2007 yoga came my way. I needed to de-stress and searched for a way to restore the balance between body and mind. Yoga felt like coming home.
I started with weekly Hatha yoga, but the love for yoga really started during an intense yoga week in the Walloon Frandeux. This yoga experience was a turning point in my life. Afterwards I followed various yoga retreats at home and abroad and dreamed of being able to give yoga classes myself one day. That dream came true after several workshops Prana Yoga Flow with Alberto Paganini, an E-RYT 200 Ashtanga teacher training with Annemieke van der Zouwen, a Teacher training with Manju Pattabhi Jois, a Yin Yoga teacher training with Kata Van Doesselaar, Prison Yoga with James Fox and the Shiva Rea -Elemental Prana Vinyasa Teacher Immersion at Nele Van Poucke.
In the meantime, I am a certified yogini and I have been teaching for 6 years. With my own association, Yoga-Time, I teach beginners and semi-advanced students two hours a week. In addition, I also teach yoga on VRT and the designers of C&A. While I remain eager to learn and I roll out my yoga mat to different teachers as often as I can, to gain as much knowledge, experience and inspiration as possible.
My lessons are a combination of Hatha, Vinyasa yoga and Yin yoga with a lot of attention for mindfulness and breathing. Dynamic and intensive, but also relaxing and casual. Strength, flexibility, balance and inner peace come together, resulting in a relaxed mind in a strong body.
